Trying to keep the children fed amidst constant complaints of "Mom, I'm hungry! Can I have a snack?" could be considered a herculaen feat.
Thankfully, this is my second year using this amazing mom hack to minimize the snack requests, involve the kids in making their own lunch, and encouraging healthy eating.
Enter, the Snack Tray. Or the Lunch platter. Or the Picky plate, or charcuterie or whatever you like to call it.

This method has been a game changer for our family. Each day, I put out a large tupperware or tray (it doesn't have to be fancy). Then my kids partcipate in adding whatever fruits, veggies, or extras we have on hand to create a veggie/fruit tray!
What I love about this method is that it not only encourages them to eat veggies and fruits but I also end up snacking on it and eating far more veggies in a day than I typically would were this not prepped and on the table. You can change it up seasonally or based on what you have on hand. I like doing different dips (hummus, tzatiki, guacamole) to keep it fun and different. And the kids keep coming back to it until it's all completely gone! I've been amazed at how many veggies they've consumed in a day.
Here's a list of ideas of things you can choose from! What would you add?

I would love to hear how using this mom snack hack works for you and your family!
