Easter Baskets: the Minimal Mindful Gift Guide 2021

Easter is just around the corner! I feel like it is sneaking up on me this year. As a minimalist, I don't like to do huge Easter baskets filled with little toys, but it CAN be a great opportunity to gift some of those useful things you'll be needing or wanting anyway throughout the spring and summer! Welcome to the Minimal Mindful gift guide Easter 2021 edition, where I'll give you some great ideas (with links) for ethical, sustainable, or minimalist gifts!

  1. Chalk - This is something we go through every year and need to replenish. Try these Egg-shaped Eco chalk eggs for a cute and plastic free option!

  2. This might be a gift you want to bring out before Easter for the whole family to enjoy! This Eco-egg natural egg dye kit even comes with grass to grow to display your eggs!

  3. Have a new toddler and looking for sippy cups? Re-Play makes kids tableware in every color you could imagine - out of recycled milk jugs!

  4. Spring and Summer are for bike riding! Get yourself a bike basket as well as bike baskets for your kids - you can even use them as the Easter basket itself!

  5. If you're looking for a candy option, Alter Eco truffles are not only fair trade and delicious, but come in compostable wrappers!

  6. Easter is Coming! is our favorite Easter read aloud book! The pictures are beautiful and it poetically tells the Easter story with a message of love and hope and celebration! (It can be hard to read aloud without crying, it's so beautiful - fair warning!)

  7. I have a kid who is sensitive to the light so sunglasses are a must at our house - but we've had so many break! Ro-Sham-bo shades are made to be flexible and perfect for kids - and they even come in color changing options!

  8. Have kids who love to garden? (Or play in the mud?) How about a cute recycled plastic gardening set?

  9. Looking to go big or go home? Adding a new piece to your swingset (or the whole swingset if you really want to go big) could be the perfect surprise! We love these toddler swings, kids swings, or even a fun climbing dome! If you don't have a yard or the space but still want to encourage your kids to get some climbing practice in and learn those gross motor skills, this Indoor climbing triangle set would be perfect!
